In 2005 Janet and John Copestake
went to see Colin Fry at GL1 in Gloucester for an evening of clairvoyance.
After the demonstration they both queued up to meet Colin Fry and anticipation
grew as they waited in line. Colin signed their brochure and there was also
literature laid out advertising a Spiritualist College in Ramsbergsgarden,
Sweden, a place where Colin taught mediumship and had courses in all forms of mediumship.
Colin invited both Janet and John to his college (Ramsbergsgården Spiritual School), so both Janet and John
decided to book a course in the November of 2005.
By this time both Janet and John
had been sitting in circle and working at spiritualist churches and centres
locally and further afield. However they both wanted to learn more, feeling
they needed to develop their gifts even further.
They fell in love with the Ramsbergsgården and felt at home and after the first course, they eagerly booked for
another course for the following February. At that point then, Janet and John
Copestake started working towards certification for their mediumship together,
all over a period of five years. Their holidays were spent in Sweden with
like-minded people, as well as Colin they were tutored by other mediums and
teachers.
Then in 2010 something magical
happened, both Janet and John were awarded medium certification. At that time
both Janet and John were one of seven people worldwide who had been awarded a
certificate of such a high standard.
This certificate covers all
aspects of mediumship. They both felt truly honoured to have received such a
prestigious certificate. Colin Fry stated that he had known people who had
worked towards this certification and had put fifteen years plus of hard work and
study, but still did not make the grade.
Janet and John Copestake attained
that high standard over a period of five years, making Colin Fry
a very proud tutor and friend.
In 2015 Colin Fry passed to the
world of spirit, he was a true ambassador for mediumship worldwide and he left
a legacy of such good work and has helped thousands of people across the globe
gain a better understanding of mediumship and connections with our loved ones
on the other side of life.
Now in 2017 Janet and John
continue with their development, they have always said that the development of
a medium is ongoing. There is never a finishing line that you cross.
There have been many pioneers in
the spiritualist movement and Colin Fry has joined that very prestigious line.
Janet and John always stress mediumship isn’t a cure for grief, neither should
the development of a medium be considered a quick fix, for development and
learning are always ongoing.
