Our Animal Friends

In early August of 2013 both Janet and John were very upset when their beautiful pet cat passed to spirit. She was eleven years old and had kidney problems that was diagnosed by the vet when their cat was eight years old. Their beloved cat had endured kidney problems for quite a while, and Janet and John spent many hours helping with the healing process. The healing that was applied helped their beloved cat and they both feel this helped her to live longer and have a better quality of life.

Her time spent with Janet and John and extended family and friends was a happy time. She came into their lives in 2004 when they re-homed her from a local branch of the RSPCA, she was certainly a character who brought love and joy to the Copestake household.

A beautiful tabby cat who loved to sit on peoples laps, she would reach out her paw as if she was saying “Hello”. She also used to drink water from a glass by using her paw. A cat who loved her food and whose tummy would swing from side to side as she ran up their garden path.

Our pets bring us unconditional love and friendship, and whilst she was a cat who couldn’t in Janet and John’s eyes “be replaced” in late August 2013, Janet and John decided to re-home and give all their love to another cat. They both visited a local Cat Rescue Centre and immediately fell in love with a part white, part tabby cat. He certainly is a very lively character and is into everything.

Our pets are for life, and not just for Christmas. Indeed it must be a very confusing time for them. Whilst we are busy rushing around buying presents and putting up trees and lights in our home, they maybe looking into running up the Christmas tree! Hopefully their new cat will just look at the tree in wonder and not decide to run up the Christmas tree.

Enjoy your Christmas decorations and spend time with your family by the fireplace now that it’s quite chilly.
