If Our Cat Could Talk

If only our cat could talk. He greets us in the morning fussing around our feet, it’s as if he is saying “Come on feed me, my tummy is empty”. "This is my greatest need of the day! The packet opens and the sound of my delicious food going into my dish is heavenly to me. I had better lift my tail skywards to show my delight and rub my hand against my masters hand, to say “About time too”.

I believe my humans should feed me first, as I won’t sharpen my talons on their chairs. This is where they sit to eat their food. Why do I have to have my food in the kitchen, why can’t I have a place at their table?

After I have eaten enough I will then lie content on the carpet next to my parents, purring like I do. Then I may do some exploring around the House, in the conservatory and even inside a cupboard or two. If the weather is nice I may enter a space called the garden, which is my jungle space where I am a predator to small furry things such as mice and birds. I love my parents so much on occasion (more than once if I am honest) I have brought them gifts, mostly in the form of a small furry mouse or two.
I cannot understand why my parents begin to scream at me, surely they should take delight that I have decided to chase this furry rodent around their living room, this after all is a good form of exercise for me.

I am such a clever cat I have discovered how to open doors, much to the surprise of my parents who have on occasion woke up to see my eyes peering at them from the side of the bed. Why did they put some contraption called a latch on the doors? It has to be said even though I am a smart cat, I am yet to discover how to get past this obstacle.

I also enjoy supper, I may decide to jump up behind them at their table contraption, even though I have devoured mine, they may in their glorious kindness give me a morsel. I am partial to chicken, fish and steak.

That is about my day, after all this excitement during the day I will then jump onto my parents lap and have a cat nap, whilst doing this I will make sure that I breathe some of my fishy cat breath onto them, after all it’s all about sharing the love.

This is my favourite time of the day, my parents settle down in the evening and lay their healing hands on my tummy tum-tum.

I may be a cat and be called many things, but I am always an angel, I am sure my parents know and understand this. I am in heaven as I receive healing and have cuddles with my parents.

This is my Blog and I hope you enjoy it. Meow Tigger
